  • CalFresh Disaster Response

    Helps meet the temporary nutritional needs of disaster victims of modest incomes, regardless of immigration status, following a natural disaster such as a flood, fire, or earthquake.

  • California Newcomer Education and Well-Being Program

    The program provides support services to newcomer students, English learners, and immigrant families. There are 20 school districts and one County Office of Education in the CalNEW community of care.

  • California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKS)

    The CalWORKS program gives cash aid and services to eligible California families in need. The program serves all 58 counties in the state and is operated locally by county welfare departments. If a family is in need, CalWORKs may be able to provide immediate short-term help with housing, food, utilities, clothing, or medical care. Families that apply and qualify for ongoing assistance receive money each month to help pay for housing, food, and other necessary expenses.

  • Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program

    Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program provides food benefits through Certified Famers’ Markets to low income seniors. Contact the county’s Local Area Agencies on Aging for more information.
