About Us
The Office of Community Partnerships and Strategic Communications (OCPSC) is a groundbreaking and award-winning office that manages the State of California’s highest priority community engagement and public awareness efforts.
Resources We Provide
While the network of trusted messengers is on the ground building trust and having conversations with community members, the Office is building their capacity by providing funding and creating tools they can use to educate and engage communities on priority areas.
Funding
for partners to support public engagement and education campaigns.
Messaging and materials
that are culturally and linguistically relevant for Californians and to combat mis- and disinformation.
Statewide public awareness media campaigns
ensuring communications are reaching and resonating with key populations through paid, earned, and social media platforms.
Partnerships
to leverage resources and expertise and streamline statewide efforts on priority campaigns.
Coordination
of a statewide network of trusted messengers who reach our campaigns’ focus population in the languages they speak.
Research and data
to guide resource allocations, learn about specific campaign-related topics, and support the diversity of languages and demographic characteristics.
OCPSC was created out of the expertise, knowledge, and good practices of the California Complete Count – Census 2020 and Vaccinate ALL 58 campaigns. These statewide multilingual, multi-sector, and multi-media campaigns partnered with trusted messengers to reach our most vulnerable communities.
