The Office of Community Partnerships & Strategic Communications has launched the “Heat Ready CA- Month of Action,” running from July 15 to August 16. The initiative began with our inaugural Ethnic Media Forums in both English and Spanish, aimed at connecting ethnic media outlets with key state programs and initiatives presented by state subject matter experts.
This round, we are focusing on extreme climate shifts and extreme heat awareness and preparedness. Throughout the state, our CBO network (which focuses on priority populations) will host numerous events, engaging communities and disseminating crucial information on extreme heat awareness and preparedness.
We will distribute new educational materials that focus on extreme climate shifts and extreme heat, providing themed focus buckets to help CBOs prioritize messaging for their specific communities. https://heatreadyca.com/.
