A track record of success

California Complete Count – Census 2020

Due to the state’s size and diversity, the California Complete Count – Census 2020 campaign placed special emphasis on educating, motivating, and activating residents least likely to participate in the Census. These efforts complemented work by the U.S. Census Bureau to make sure all Californians knew how to respond to the Census, the safety of personal information they provided, and how participation would benefit their communities for the next decade.

VACCINATE ALL 58 (VA58)

The VA58 campaign was launched to encourage Californians living in places with low vaccination rates and high social and health inequities to get vaccinated against COVID-19. The campaign works with community-based organizations to connect high-risk populations with trusted messengers who provide culturally appropriate information to combat mis/disinformation and build vaccine confidence.

RESPONDING TO A HOTTER, DRIER CALIFORNIA

0

Save our Water

Hotter, drier weather could diminish our existing water supply by up to 10% by 2040 – making water conservation more critical than ever.

In support of the state’s Water Supply Strategy, OCPSC is partnering with the Department of Water Resources to expand the state’s water conservation campaign.

The goal is to drive a culture shift to make water conservation a way of life and move Californians to transform their water use habits in their homes and yards.

Extreme Heat

As extreme weather conditions become more severe, communities around the state are facing greater health consequences – disproportionately hurting the most vulnerable Californians.

In support of the state’s Extreme Heat Action Plan, OCPSC is working with multiple state agencies to coordinate public awareness efforts.

The goal is to educate residents about extreme heat and the need to act quickly on hot days to mitigate negative health outcomes.
