Presumptive Eligibility for Pregnant Women
Any patient who thinks they are pregnant and whose family income is under a certain amount is eligible for immediate, temporary coverage for prenatal care pending a formal Medi-Cal application. Program offers prenatal care, including abortions, and prescription drugs for conditions related to pregnancy.

Project Rebound
Program that supports the higher education and successful reintegration of formerly incarcerated individuals wishing to enroll and succeed at the California State University. Currently, 19 California State University campuses across the state have Project Rebound programs working with formerly incarcerated students.

Property Tax Exemptions
California offers two property tax exemptions for veterans: one for honorably discharged veterans and another for disabled veterans. For the honorably discharged veteran exemption, there are restrictions on the value of property a claimant may own.

Refugee Cash Assistance

Refugee Programs Bureau
Coordinates programs and provides culturally sensitive and linguistically-appropriate services that help refugees attain the skills needed to achieve self-sufficiency and successful integration. These services include job training, cultural orientation, cash aid, and resettlement case management. Specific population support and resources are available for Ukrainian, Afghan, Cuban and Haitian entrants.

Refugee Resettlement Program
Assists individuals to adjust socially and attain skills needed to find employment. These services include: refugee social services and targeted assistance programs which provide job training and employment services, discretionary programs which provide services to specialized refugee populations such as the elderly, and direct cash assistance for up to eight months following arrival in the U.S.
