Support for individuals and communities targeted for hate. CA vs. Hate helps Californians targeted by hate by designating a space to submit hate incident and hate crime reports and providing culturally competent resources, including therapist search support and databases of local resources by county for people targeted by hate. Resource pages for specific communities help identify next steps to take after being targeted by hate.

Cal Alerts
Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEAs) are used to send concise, text message updates to mobile devices during emergency situations. WEAs are sent by public safety officials, the National Weather Service (for imminent threat of disaster), the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (AMBER alerts), and the President of the United States.

Cal Dept. of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA)
This department’s programs offer emergency tax or fee relief for taxpayers who have been directly affected by disasters declared as state of emergencies, both within California and nationally. Available services may include the extension of tax return due dates, relief of penalty and interest, or replacement copies of records lost due to disasters.

CalAssist Mortgage Fund
Provides grants up to $20,000 to homeowners whose homes were destroyed or left uninhabitable in recent fire, floods, and other disasters. This includes those individuals whose homes were destroyed by the LA-area firestorms earlier this year.
