Career Online High School (COHS) Diploma Program
COHS is an online diploma program available at no charge through public libraries. The program, which combines an accredited high school diploma with a career certificate, is open to California adults 19 and over.

Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants
Provides monthly cash benefits to non-citizens with access and functional needs, including but not limited to aged and blind individuals, who are ineligible for Supplemental Security Income/State Supplementary Payment (SSI/SSP) solely due to their immigration status. The recipients may be eligible for Medi-Cal, CalFresh and In-Home Supportive Services, but they must file for each benefit separately.

Cash for College Workshop
October 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025, students and families can attend free Cash for College workshops across California for help completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act (CADAA) and Chafee Grant for Foster Youth applications. Choosing a Residential Care Facility for Adults in California
Provides an overview of licensed residential facility services for adults in California and best practice considerations to assist individuals and families in making an informed decision about out-of-home care.

College Fee Waiver
Waives mandatory system-wide tuition and fees at any State of California Community College, California State University, or University of California campus. This program does not cover the expense of books, parking, or room and board. There are four plans under which dependents of Veterans may be eligible.

Community Conflict Resolution Unit (CCRU)
Provides a neutral third party to help resolve conflicts and solutions to civil rights complaints through mediation as an alternative to court processes.

Community Emergency Response Team
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program educates volunteers about disaster preparedness for the hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. CERT offers a consistent, nationwide approach to volunteer training and organization that professional responders can rely on during disaster situations, allowing them to focus on more complex tasks.

Offering research and homework assistance, COMPASS provides California’s public k-12 schools and students digital access to educational content from Britannica, ProQuest, TeachingBooks, and Gale. All content is aligned with California’s educational standards.

Consumer Assistance Program
Offers eligible Californian’s financial assistance with emissions-related repairs if their vehicle fails a Smog Check. Californian’s may also receive a financial incentive to retire their vehicle regardless of whether it fails or passes a Smog Check.
