    Provides reimbursement for crime-related expenses for victims or witnesses of an eligible crime, including those resulting in a physical injury,
    emotional injury due to the threat of physical injury or death. CalVCB is the payor of last resort providing compensation after all available reimbursement and recovery sources are used.

  • California Volunteers

    Provides opportunities to engage Californians in service, volunteering, and civic action. The College Corps program invites students across the state to be placed in a community-based organization working in K-12 education, climate action, or food insecurity. The Youth Jobs Corp employs young people to address the issues of food insecurity, COVID-19, and climate action. California’s Climate Action Corps provides volunteer and job opportunities to help California mitigate the climate crisis.

  • California Work Opportunity and Responsibility for Kids (CalWORKs) Child Care Program

    Current or former CalWORKs cash aid recipients that are eligible can receive assistance with paying for childcare with a provider of their choice, if they are employed or participating in county approved Welfare-to-Work activities. Childcare is provided for children through the age of 12, as well as for exceptional needs and severely disabled children up to age 21.

  • California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKS)

    The CalWORKS program gives cash aid and services to eligible California families in need. The program serves all 58 counties in the state and is operated locally by county welfare departments. If a family is in need, CalWORKs may be able to provide immediate short-term help with housing, food, utilities, clothing, or medical care. Families that apply and qualify for ongoing assistance receive money each month to help pay for housing, food, and other necessary expenses.

  • California’s Low Cost Automobile Insurance

    California’s Low Cost Auto (CLCA) Insurance program helps good drivers that are income eligible afford auto insurance that meets the state’s mandatory auto insurance law. Each policy provides liability coverage for the vehicle’s primary driver and eligible secondary drivers. A person is allowed up to two policies, one for each of two vehicles. All vehicles in your household must be covered under the CLCA insurance program.
