2025 California Connects: Regional Convenings

California Connects: Regional Convenings are a first-of-their-kind opportunity to bring together community partners, state agencies, and local leaders in one shared space. Rooted in Governor Newsom’s vision of service and collaboration, these convenings are designed to spark new connections, strengthen resilience, and equip organizations with the tools and resources they need to make lasting impact in their communities.   

Join Us This Fall!

Join us for an interactive experience designed to inspire collaboration, strengthen organizations, and build lasting partnerships across the state to create a connected California.  Through engaging plenary sessions, hands-on workshops, and facilitated discussions, participants will: 

  • Gain practical tools and training to increase collaboration and boost organizational resilience.  
  • Build direct connections with state agencies, learn how to access funding and resources to expand impact.  
  • Strengthen regional networks by forging strategic partnerships that fuel sustained, long-term collaboration.

Who Should Attend 

California Connects: Regional Convenings will include a diverse mix of partner organizations sharing important state and local information and resources. Invited attendees include OCPSC, CV, and YEC partners such as: 

  • community-based organizations,  
  • state departments and agencies,  
  • local government representatives,  
  • philanthropic organizations,  
  • other partners working alongside state departments and agencies to strengthen regional networks and address community needs. 

Travel Stipends

OCPSC is offering a limited number of $500 travel stipends to eligible community-based organizations (CBOs) who must travel 80 miles or more (one-way) to attend their closest California Connects convening. These stipends may be used to offset transportation and lodging costs.

What to Expect 

California Connects: Regional Convenings, you can expect an active, hands-on experience. Through engaging plenary sessions, interactive workshops, and facilitated discussions, participants will learn practical tools, connect directly with state partners, and build lasting regional networks. These convenings are designed not just to share information, but to spark collaboration and action that continues long after the event.

Established in July 2022, the Office of Community Partnerships and Strategic Communications (OCPSC), within the Governor’s Office of Service and Community Engagement (GO-Serve), was created to streamline and expand statewide communications. As the state’s leader for high-priority public awareness and outreach efforts, OCPSC prioritizes data to ensure all Californians receive timely, essential information throughout the state.
